As most of us will know by now, certain maps need an adjustment to weapon swaps. The current tend to promote linear gameplay with no versatility. No one has made the effort to share their thoughts/creativity nor do we know if the admins have anything under discussion.

If you have any positive input please share in a similar manner, other wise the post will be deleted.

Mercy
Boltok Pistol > Gorgon Pistol
Frag/Incendiary Grenade > Boomshot
Mortar/One Shot > Longshot
Boomshot/Digger > Frags

Thrashball
Boltok/Gorgon Pistol > Disabled
Frag/Incendiary Grenade > Longshot OR Torque Bow
Mortar/Mulcher > Ink Grenade
Torque Bow/ Digger > Frag Grenades

Frags and Ink positions can be disabled or moved around the Mortar/Mulcher, pistol and Digger/Bow locations.

Dry Dock
Ink Grenade > Disabled
Mortar/One Shot > Longshot
Torque/Longshot >Digger
Frag Grenades > Incendiary Grenades
Pistols > Gorgon or Disabled

Another variation would be to have a Longshot at each spawn side, Boomshot at center grenades and Incendiaries or Ink up top somewhere. Can't remember exact spawns of pistols and ink so I'll fix it up later.

People can expect these and maybe current swaps to change or stay the same after the Man Up rule is removed. For now, post your thoughts or Admins won't know.

Hotel
The weapon swaps on this map are completely fine, i just think their should be a Boomshot down bottom, ink in the middle of the hotel and the sniper should stay up top. This gives people more of a reason to play OUTSIDE of the hotel, splitting up the teams giving them two weapons to contest for because everyone knows at the moment Digger is pretty useless / underused on Hotel from what I've seen.

Old Town
Weapon swaps are fine, nothing needs to be changed maybe the ink closest to the spawns, rather get some contest going for the middle grenades.

Thrashball
I think the weapons we have now are fine, power weapons on that map barely get used and aren't really suitable for that environment. It's too small to have a sniper and having a torque down bottom would be stupid, then again it does split up both teams to contest and forces more play down bottom rather than shotgun pushing up top.

Mercy
The new swaps being handed out sound really good in my opinion, Boomshot is a good change. That'll now rule out higher ground dominance.

Dry Dock
I think there should be a map in general that has two snipers that each team can control, this map wound't be bad for that idea. The swaps we have for it at the moment though are fine and balanced. Gameplay on this map usually results in each team controlling one of the two provided power weapons and just playing from there.

100% agree with mercy. i still believe the top of thrashball is the spot both teams should be fighting for since it's close quarters and enough cover is provided for it not to be a smoke mess, think having longshot/torque in the grenade area will make it a bit more standoffish then it is now. It's not even top heavy atm, but i think those swap will make it bottom heavy.

Think drydock needs a digger where the torque bow is, think about it.

Thrashball
Currently Thrashball is far from good. Having the battle at the top for map control is all sweet and so, but with the man up rule, it's generally obvious what will happen after one team losses a player and is forced down. That's why having a sniper or bow down bottom will change the way the map is played, definitely in a better way.

EG: If you lose top but pickup sniper, you could actually attempt to progress back up with the help of the sniper dealing with the lancers.

Old Town
This map is tolerable to an extent, but is generally the same as Mercy, with teams rushing a certain power. Jayden, if you could include a weapon swap as I did in the OP with your thought on the change of Ink spawn, things would be a lot easier to see.

Dry Dock
I don't completely mind this map, and once the man up rule is gone I believe these weapon swaps will be fine. However, I know some people don't like the way it's played. If someone else wants to create a more suited weapon swap, I'm all for it.

Hotel
Having a Boom outside might force all players outside, but it could also create that situation where one or two players travel through the front door, having a stand off. Could be good or bad.

Oh and guys, help us out and post the full weapon swaps, if they receive good feedback I'll add it to the OP.

Drydock:

Sniper=digger
Torque=digger
Oneshot=sniper
Mortar=sniper
Frag=ink
flame=ink

messy smoke sniper rushes and certain teams camping sniper is solved. Torque is useless because going cross map high you have to hit them in the top half of the body anyway, there is no zoom, the other team can hear you charging it a mile away and the snipe is so easy to get headshots with on a hard aiming player, the sides arent currently balanced which equals rush or camping.

Sniper and torque bow are fine.

I think:

a) Remove frags and put incendiaries in their place.

I still think frags are over powered, they have a pretty big explosive radius and if you tag them in good spots your bound to get a kill 100% of the time.

b) Remove frags and ink grenade and switch the gorgon pistols to ink grenades.

I'm not too sure how it would play out but it's worth a try.

Drydock

Sniper and torque are also fine on this map.

I think:

a) Remove nades from midde. Change gorgon pistols to inks - it could make for a more aggressive playstyle on this map rather than sitting back waiting for someone to get a headshot or torque kill.

b) Maybe put boomer middle, torque > digger and leave snipe. I don't think these are the greatest swaps considering there would be 3 power weapons but it could play out alright.

Gridlock

Perfect!

Hotel
The weapon swaps on this map are good but it does encourage slow game play sometimes.. so maybe try putting boom > digger because then it will make teams go outside and contest for a stronger weapon.

Mercy
Haven't played a whole lot of matches on this map, but I do agree that boom should be where nades are, nades inside, sniper up top.

Old Town
This map runs pretty good with the current weapon swaps. I wouldn't mind seeing boomer in mid and nades where boomer is.. that could play out good.

Trenches
I think this map is fine.

Thrashball
I don't really like the swaps on this map.

Maybe try:

Sniper > Incendaries
Incendiaries > Digger
Digger > Mulcher
Inks up top.

Old Town needs to have Boom in the guts or it just makes you run to the one area. Not to sure as to what weapons would fit on the sides. Other than that all the other maps that need adjusting have been accounted for I believe. You can't really fix Dry Dock. It's just the way the map is.

i don't think weapons swaps for thrashball should be changed because the lay out of that map is like security from gears 2

Boomshot should be in the middle of old town that much is clear.. and I think we should have flame grenades where the boomshot/digger are. The Sniper should stay where it is.

I think frags would be op on mercy.

Old town
i'd like to try having no boom. It's such an open map and if you have boom it's so easy just to lap around the map and 95% chance you're going to win. But yes having it in mid would negate that too, but i'd still like to try no boom.

i have a pretty outrageous idea, 'cos i'm a pretty outrageous guy.

Everything else the same. I think it would work well.

Never played trenches, and those i haven't mentioned are fine i think

NEED MOAR HAMMER, maybe old town? lol

Not even that i reckon' for Old Town, too much goes on before you can even use the power weapons in the first place, the contest usually results in a team fight in one teams favor, power weapon in my opinion is usually just used to take out the last 1 or 2 people.

I think a torque at the grenades now in my opinion would be a great idea, it means the entire map would have some contest, 2 torque, 1 mid, 1 top. I can see that as a good competition.

I really like the idea of having maybe for drydock

Gorgon/Boltok > Snipe
Frags/Flames > Boom
Torque/snipe/oneshot/mortor > Ink or flames?

But with the man up rule its hard to give players a power weapon and expect them to move out =/

I agree, but i don't think Digger should be played, ESPECIALLY on Dry Dock. as some people have been trying to suggest, but i think we should incorporate the idea of both teams possession of a power weapon early round on one of the new maps coming out,

Jacinto or Blood Drive would be a no, so lets hope Azura or Rust Lung can provide that without favoring one of the spawns.
