et pro pub doesnt exist..

if your lucky you will see a scrim on one of the et pro servers..

correct, most people that play pub play on the HS or OZ etpub server.

if only there was an active etpro server with custom maps that was etpub player friendly :<

what about bf3 and mw3? hows the competition side work with previous versions of the games? the maps are stupidly huge... never played them so i don't know

We have a new etpro public server through Team Elevation however not sure how popular it will be considering the other etpro servers are always empty.

No idea about BF3 or MW3. BF3 is in beta and is very similar to Bad Company 2 so I imagine the competition settings will be similar.

MW3 all depends on dedicated server support for PC as to how successful a competition mod will be. To be honest I don't see it being successful on the PC due to the last two CoD releases being crap (competition/mod support wise) and CoD4 still having a better player base and prizes for competition due to pro mod support etc.

Waiting for Tribes Ascend for the next closest Quake/ET fix in a new release.

so there is a server but noone goes on it like usual...

does the server use laggy "pb" or tzac?

It will be no-pb and tzac not enforced. It will allow people to test that tzac is working without the need for a server side add-on (which is typically hard to maintain the right version and can result in unexpected disconnects due to European maintenance times).

I think the server team elevation are offering could be good as it won't have PB (lag) and it'll have custom maps (unlike bastard GA7 with Battery, Railgun etc.) and I'm guessing it'll be running custom campaigns to keep maps moving instead of the ready up, vote map system.. Just have to poach regulars from OZ!
