Actually 'KingMagmus' the term religously can be used in more than one context.
For example;
"re‧li‧gious‧ly
1 if you do something religiously, you are always very careful to do it:
He exercises religiously every morning."

Therefore you telling him that he is using the incorrect terminology is false.
