So yeh i bought HeartGold the other day

and i go to start a game and i have to choose one of these new shit pokemon, so does anybody know if i can start a new game on fire red and choose Squirtle and trade him to HeartGold but not save the Fire Red game, because i don't want to lose my mewtwo brah

No you cant sadly when you start an ew game on fire red it deletes the save file.
