I got a new PC.

Mw2 won't install. Steam is installed, i put the disks in, it logs me in and tries to download?

Why the **** is steam trying to make me download it when it's on the disc?

Steams so ******* shit.

But so is mw2, so it suits.

If anyone can help, cheers.

Are you running the auto install from the disc? I have an issue where mine doesn't auto install so I have to run the autoinstall off the disc

No matter what i've tried shit all has happened.

I've tried several different things off the disc.

All it does is tries to download 12gig of ******* shit.

While the main game is on the disk not the updates that came out it was published, whenever I reinstall mw2 it always downloads about a 1GB update, which is normal.

It's trying to download 12gig. = full mw2.

havent been on steam in ages but try installing it while in offline mode which should install it of the disk then all you have to do is install updates.

is this game even active anymore?

Right click the game, delete local content, then try installing from disc again.
Metro 2033 did the same thing to me when i was installing it from disc.

Also, kaka nothing wrong with venting a little anger
