Like the PSU suggestion, whilst having a modular PSU might sound like a very minor thing, it really helps with cable management and air flow by not having unused cables sitting in your case.

Go the gtx 570 and get a crucial SSD.

your whole build is pretty terrible.

-16 gig of terrible ram made me laugh. 1. you dont need 16 gig at all 2. its terrible ram
-2600 :S why for games? 2500 or 2500K is all you should get.
-green drive for os. and 2tb @ 5400 rpm. NO.
-6970 is ok i guess. if your running a 27 inch monitor with a res over 1980x1050 otherwise get a 570 or 560ti
-people recomending 750w psu are spaztics. You wont Crossfire (even tho it says it can) Micro atx and 4x pci-e when you crossfire..
-micro atx mobo :S refer to its faults above ^^^^

wish people would do some research before they just linked a heap of shit.

how much do you want to spend?

2500k
z68 (gigabyte, asus)
gtx 570/560 ti
Corsair Vengence 8gb
Silverstone strider 750w
samsung spinpoint 1tb
corsair force series 3 60gb

I think this is part of his research, he had a crack at it and is now asking for some assistance.

A 750w decent brand PSU is a good idea as it gives you that option for crossfire down the track, not to mention other upgrades such as sound cards, more HDD for storage, overclocking, etc. The GTX570 is a good option though if you were considering SLI/Crossfire then I would stay with the AMD as they scale much better than nvidia.

If you have a budget then maybe let us know what it is and we could try to post up some example builds for that price. Also what you want out of the PC.

Yes the 750 does give him the option for crossfire.. however did u notice the bit where i said nobody actually looked at the motherboard he picked?

I did look at the board though I must admit I assumed it was a B3, did not know a non-B3 variant existed.

True that particular board is not really suited for crossfire because of the bandwidth on the 2nd PCI-e. That said having a 750W PSU in a case with that mobo would be wasted.

If your restricted to micro-ATX boards then grab a B3 variant of that board as it will run crossfire in 8x/8x as opposed to 16x/4x (or is it 8x/4x?). All this is assuming that you may crossfire at a later date, if not ignore all this and grab the original board with a 650W PSU.

I nearly went crossed eyed then lol

The case he linked takes atx boards though.

Did you look at the parts he linked or not?

Crossfire and SLI are not needed, waste of money in my opinion just a good brand GTX 570 will do
