Hello
First off, thank you to the entire community for their enthusiasm and support in 4v4s during 2011.
So... what is this 4v4 Amateur P2P you ask?
This is a 4v4 P2P that will be run for amateur teams / players with the aim of developing teams leading into Modern Warfare 3. It is also an opportunity for new teams to have-a-go without fear of being knocked out straight away by being seeded against the best 4v4 teams in the country. This competition will exclude all 4v4 players that have been successful in 4s during the 2nd half of 2011.
The purpose of this thread is to give all the information you need in regards to the 4v4 Amateur P2P Competition!
Random Seedings and Draw

Please make sure that your team is able to compete on that date and all day before registering.
Teams who show up late will forfeit their match or matches. Just like previous P2Ps, we will run to schedule!

All rosters will be locked at the same time as registration and payment cut-off which is Oct 28th 11:59pm.
Tournament Structure
There will be no pool play. This will be a straight out Double Elimination competition.
Seeding will be released on Sat Oct 29th via video of teams randomly being drawn out of a hat.
All matches will be a best of 5 series:
SND, CTF, DOM, CTF, DOM
We will be using the continuation rule if needed. This will create a best of 11 series:
SND, CTF, DOM, CTF, DOM, SND, CTF, DOM, SND, CTF, DOM
It is important that all competitors have a thorough understanding of the continuation rule before competing.
If teams are scheduled to play each other for a 2nd time in Double Elimination, their match will expand to a best of 11 series, include the previous match, and pick up where that match left off. For example, if player A beat player B 3 Games to 0 in the Winners Bracket, the best of 11 will resume with gametype 4 and player A leading 3 games to 0.
It's a much dire situation if, let's say, Player A defeated Player B 3-0 and they met up again. In this situation, Player B would need to win six games while Player A needed only three.
If you are playing a team for the second time in the competition and need to play a best of 11 series, you must contact OzFalcon for your list of maps / gametypes.
If you are still confused over this rule, feel free to send me a PM or contact me over MSN and I will try explain how it works.
Game Rules
A reminder that the Search and Destroy settings have been changed to 1.5 minute rounds and max rounds 6.
Scavanger has been
banned on the CGo 4v4 ladder and will be banned for all CyberGamer 4v4 P2P events.
Spawns will be determined based on seed. The highest seed (going into the comp), will choose spawns for maps 1, 3 and 5.
A neutral host is preferred for all matches, but not essential. If a neutral host can not be found, both teams need to agree on hosting arrangements. This can be one team hosting the entire match or switching hosts between halves or gametypes.

Grip

Infrared Scope
Full Auto Upgrade
Rapid Fire
Extended Mags
Dual Mags
Kit Restrictions (Lethal, Tactical & Equipment)
Frag Grenades, Semtex, Flashbangs and Willy Petes (Smoke) are the only Lethal and Tactical weapons allowed.
All Equipment is banned. If possible, equip no equipment. If not possible, you can really equip any equipment as long as you never use it. If used accidentally but it doesn't effect the game it is okay. If equipment is used and it for instance, gets a kill or in the case of tactical insertion, you respawn on the point - your team will forfeit that map/gametype.
Perk Restrictions
You cannot use the following perks:
- Second Chance/Pro
- Warlord/Pro
- Steady Aim/Pro
- Flak Jacket/Pro
- Scavenger/Pro
Using a banned weapon, equipment, special grenade, lethal grenade, perk or attachment will result in your team forfeiting that particular gametype/map. It does not matter if you 'use Extended Mags but get all your kills in the first 5 bullets'. You are not allowed to have banned items equipped under any circumstances (excluding Equipment which cannot be avoided). You cannot use banned items at all. In S&D for the 4v4 Ladder, Rounds are forfeited in the particular round the rules were breached. Continued use and determination to disobey the rules will result in further forfeits.
Team Sizes
All matches must be played 4v4, no more and no less.
Theatre/Game Recording
Game Recording must be Enabled for all matches. Enabled is the default setting.
Match length
Best of 5 maps unless continuation rule is required creating a best of 11 series.
Known Glitches
There is a glitch that can occur if the bomb is defused at exactly the same time as the bomb explodes. In this situation the defusing team will be announced the winner of the round, but both teams will score a point.
If this glitch occurs in a match the round should be replayed at the end of the half. This can only occur in the S&D gametype.
Spawn Choice
The higher seeded team going into the competition chooses the spawn they'd like first for maps 1, 3 and 5.
Hosting
A neutral host is preferred for all matches, but not essential. If a neutral host can not be found, both teams need to agree on hosting arrangements. This can be one team hosting the entire match or switching hosts between halves or gametypes.
Host Check:
Each time a new host is selected a host check must take place. Start the game with alternative settings, such as Free For All and play for 30 seconds or so to make sure the host is not laggy. If there is noticeable lag or the majority of players do not have full green bars then an alternative host should be selected. It is up to the teams involved to have a host check and organise a new host if they are not happy with the current host. Once the game is over its too late to make a dispute.
Spectators
If your team wishes to have spectators, they must spectate your team only and it must be agreed upon by both teams and captains. If the spectator is apart of your own team, they must spectate only their own team regardless of agreements.
Player Substitutions
During a game, teams often wish to substitute players in and out. This can only be done during breaks, half-time, or in pre-game lobbies. As always, the player substituted in or out must be eligible in the teams roster.
If a player has connection issues and drops out, they may not be able to get back into the game or back onto Xbox Live. In this instance a substitute can be brought in. Again, this substitute must be an eligible player on their team's roster and must be done in a pre-game lobby for S&D (end the game at the next available opportunity as per rules on the snd ladder), but can be mid-match in all other gametypes.
Connection Issues
If a player has connection issues during the match that cause them to be dropped from the game the match should be ended at the next available opportunity.
In the S&D gametype the match should be ended after the current round has been completed. The scores should be recorded at this point. The dropped player then has 5 minutes to get back into the lobby. If the original player can not get back into the match a substitute players may enter the match. They must be eligible and rostered in order to play in the match. If neither the dropped player or an eligible substitute is found within 5 minutes the match should continue.
In all other gametypes it is up to their team mates to re-invite the dropped player back into the match.
Sportsmanship
Unsportsmanlike behavior will be dealt with at the discretion of a ladder administrator.
Making false/useless disputes will be dealt with at the discretion of a ladder administrator.
Disputes without evidence will be noted but further action is unlikely to occur.
Rosters
All players must be on the the team roster in order to compete in a Cybergamer match. If a player that is not enrolled on the team, or is ineligible, participates in a match the offending team will forfeit the match.
*** Other standard rules common to the CyberGamer CGo 4v4 ladder also do apply. Please take the time to read them. ***

MSN Group and Staff
Send a message to ozfalcon@hotmail.com and I will invite you to the P2P MSN group. We would like a captain from each team present in this group to make organising matches easier on game date. The MSN Group is only for competing teams.
This thread will be constantly updated on Oct 30th and we expect teams to organise themselves in getting matches started. We do not want to be chasing teams. The more you guys can do to help this comp almost self-run on the day, the smoother it will run. As players and teams, you all play a major part in the success and continuation of these P2P competitions. The community has been outstanding in making them work so thanks!
Please feel free to post below if you have any questions, queries or comments!
We wish all teams competing the best of luck and hope you enjoy the competition,
