Hi...!
As some of you may be aware, we've had some issues with a few kids (Taylor Swift, Aus Jayden, Kbanger, Quileh, etc) choosing to join pugs and ddos other users.
We will endeavour to continue IP banning them as we find them but the issue is that these guys can change their IPs and bounce back 2mins later and still join pugs. As a result, some changes have been implemented to stop this occuring:
- Starting a new CG account has been made more difficult
- There is a new pug setting when creating a pug. Down the bottom, it now has - "
Must be member for: X months". If you set this to 1 month, then these guys won't be able to just bounce back with new accounts, join Pugs and keep ddosing.
Furthermore, we are now emphasising that all hosts must set game lobbys to "
closed" before launching the game. If you need to back out to pick someone up, just end the game at the end of the round, bring the person back in, close the lobby again and resume the pug. This will help prevent some users (idiots) who are friends with these ddosing guys to invite them into your pugs with the aim of helping them to ddos people. On that note, anyone who is found to be inviting these ddosing guys into pugs so that they can keep ddosing will be joining the list of those permanently banned for doing this.
Anything to do with ddosing on the CG pugbot will result to permanent bans site-wide on CG and will not be removed.
Shame we have to waste resources stamping this garbage out, but hopefully it results in the continuation of good pugs
