imo, this game deserves to be played more than it is, i really can't see why its not pulling more players.. im thinking because its to fast paced, or people don't want to learn something new (even though Quake 3 is 12 or so years old)

they all pretty much run the game the same, haven't really noticed a difference, so use what you're comfortable with, i myself use QLPrism, a browser tailored for QL - http://www.qlprism.us/

haha, ask rotax how bad he smashed me lol, im still playing, and have only improved because of it, they need to learn to not let a loss get to them, and keep practising.

it really needs a skill system like HoN/LoL..

it does, it has a tier system.
im max tier in everything, and im unable to join or see servers that are 2 tiers below me.

the game is just full of smurfs, as there is shit all servers to play in on duels at the highest tier, so people(including myself) have sub accounts to play on lower tier servers.

as for low players, it has one of the highest learning curves in a fps to date, people just dont have to patience to learn the game, its not like cod where you can pick it up and play.

quake has alot of other aspects that need to be taken into account to play the game effectivly.

agreed. I am starting to pick up the game and it is a great game to play and learn. Loads of fun, i dont care if i get smashed, all learning.

Ventz gave me some tips and helped me out with the basics {also gave me his config) he has been really great.
