I would go a Mazda RX-7 or 8, Toyota Supra, pretty much any of the Nissan's and Mitsubishi's with decent acceleration.

With tuning check out this link it has allot of tuning setups for most of the popular drifting cars.

Can tune anything but those would be my favourite 2 at the moment, if you look at some tutorials you can basically tune any RWD car for drifting.

Try putting your camber at -5 on the rear and -1 on the front, soften your springs/damping a little thats just a basic tune but it'll help

Okay cheers mate, im guessing the best way for me to get into drifting is to just practice and work it out or is there a certain style or something?

Start off by choosing a car, then download a drift tune for it from the storefront. Make sure traction and stability control are off as well.
You can learn to tune your own cars later on

I'll be on in a few hours, I'll drift with you if you want.
