Attachments that don't affect the accurary/rate of fire/sound of the gun should be considered.
I.e. Red Dot Sights, just not iron sight because that's just customisation of your aiming HUD.
Edit* Why we considering no mortars straight off the bat?
Whenever I've participated in scrims the squads are divided in two classes only - Assault/Engi.
Allowing Mortar opens the potential for maybe the odd support player in your games. I much prefer C4 than the mortar and probably would never consider to use a mortar but it's a massive asset that was added so more people would play that class. Even so, it's the least played class in terms of hours and points (even less then recon). Plus, laying out a backwards marker mortar playing in a 10 v 10 is a very high-risk move as it takes someone off the battlefield pretty much.
