1. Create a new thread promoting you are looking to fill "a couple of spots" <- very important

2. Include general spiel about your clan and it's successes. Reinforce the fact that you are looking to fill "a couple of spots", regardless of how many spots you are looking to fill, how well known you are or what achievements you have to your name. A "mass recruitment drive" has very limited appeal to the gamer looking for an exclusive gaming experience.

(optional - step 3) - If you have sponsors, make this fact known. Display their logo everywhere. Ideally you will base your clans entire colour scheme around theirs (more on this in "Rebranding Your Clan 101" ). But for heavens sake don't mention that they are only providing you with a crappy 10 slot team speak server, 5% off a product/service or gaming peripherals that no-one would actually use to play games with.

4. Invite fellow clan mates to come and circle jerk each other off in your thread, include plenty of inside jokes that no-one outside of the clan would understand. Include other assorted bullshit in order to increase the page count of your thread.

5. Occasionally bump your thread to ensure continued visibility.

6. Rubbish your oppositions threads with claims of hacking or make reference to low-brow pickups they have made (i.e Dawson).

I'm not sure what your intentions were with this thread, but I most certainly got a little laugh out of it.

The only intention Bourne has with this thread is to help teams create clear and concise recruitment threads so they may get the people they desire to compete and have fun in CyberGamer's Battlefield ladders.

im not sure if this is a guide or a satire of CG's history of recruitment threads?

to be perfectly honest, I think it fits both bills very nicely.
