So, who ever thought this game would last as long as it did around here? Definitely not me. It probably reflects a not too bad community to be honest. To keep a game like MW2 (no servers, enough said) alive this long is a testament to people that spend time playing it. It has been an absolute nightmare to run and really tested us all at times. Hell, even playing it has been draining on some!

It started off in its early days headed up by the normal CoD crew and then the reins were handed over to Syke and Virol. They did a fantastic job of maintaining what was a very new community to competitive CoD. From there we saw such characters as Nutshot, Neon, Sistem, Genx, Deuce, Goob and a few more help us along the way. The game was always in need of refs. And we had some great guys (they were average players ) help us try and run this nightmare a bit smoother. You all did a fantastic job and thank you once again.

After the Winter Cup and SoO I was sure MW2 was dead... But no.. You guys just kept on playing. We saw some rule changes and even a ladder alteration. Though I suppose at the end of the day, no one could deny the inevitable.

So to keep it short, With MW3 coming out there is no reason to support both games now. MW2 has never been an ultra competitive game and never will be. I'm sure we will all agree on that. So with MW3 offering dedicated servers, it already makes the game a better option to support out of the two. Also the gun stats are better this time around. All in all, not much research is needed to see which is the better game.

So the MW2 section will be fully closed down 2 weeks from now. This gives teams enough time to play a couple more matches before the game is gone for good. Finals will not be played as the season is only new and there hasn't been much activity anyway.

So once again, thanks to all the people that saw this game through all it's competitive flaws and either helped run the game, or play the game. I'd also like to say a big thank you to Cuzzy, Tommy, Nfire and Kaka. When this game still had some legs you guys stepped up when I couldn't and kept things going. Thanks heaps.

So keep your eyes on the MW3 section from here on in for updates on ladders, rulesets and any other information you require.

I remember smashing in the Domination ladder months ago, will be missed.

i had a ball playing both ladders when they where up. I did my part @ trying to keep this game going with mini comps and reff'ing + the brief admin'ing to.

well done to all who have stuck around for this long and hope mw3 has a long life to.
