Hey guys, I want to turn one of my monitors into a TV. I dont want to watch TV online.
Atm I'm capped and it takes ages for me to open a page, let alone load a half decent youtube video, so I can't really read some tuts.

If you guys could help me out a bit and post some links to a website and youtube videos, I'd appreciate it.

I have a BenQ G2420HD ( I'm pretty sure )
kthxbye

wait.. im confused.

just to clarify, you want to watch free-to-air TV on your monitor? You will need a PC connected to the monitor for the following to work. You will also need an aerial connection.

www.digitalnow.com.au/product_pages/TinyTwin.html

or

www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=553_555&products_id=13697

if having an aerial connection going to your PC is not a viable option then you could consider this:

www.kaiserbaas.com/kaiser-baas-product-page/tv-tuners/network-tv-tuner

the HDHomeRun (HDHR) will allow you to connect a coaxial (aerial) cable to the HDHR and then connect the HDHR to your router via a standard network ethernet cable.

Wouldn't it be easier to...um...watch tv on an actual tv? I mean, I've used a tv as a monitor before, but going the other way seems overly complex. One is a screen with a bunch of electronics and speakers and stuff, the other is just a screen.
