hey guys, haven't played wow for like 6 months or so now but a few of the guys at work are back into it so i thought i'd jump on lvl another 85 with them, but for some reason i cant connect to blizzard or so it seems, i get messages in the updater, login screen when i log on, patch downloader, i even re downloaded the game client installer and they all have similar messages saying i can't connect to the server, i have no other issues with other games etc, any help is appriciated!

all blizzard staff are currently unavailable because there playing SWTOR

Check or uncheck ''Optimize network speed'' in Network settings on the login screen... That's about as much as I can help... Go to the www.battle.net forums and post there.

Fixed it after searching numerous threads on the wow forums,
had to go into Internet Explorer (ewwwww), Internet options, connections, LAN settings and unchecked the detect proxy server thing, worked like a charm.
