If EA for some reason doesn't want to create an option to play private matches, will there be any possible way to have CGo matches? Or maybe we might have to compete against randoms and see how many wins you get? Or maybe no CGo ladder for Battlefield 3, i'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that EA decide to create the private match option

if theres no private match settings released i dont see cg supporting the ladder would be tricky to do

its too late. the ladder will go live and will be dead. i am dissapoint

this is not confirmed but just a rumor that you might be able to buy your own severs just like pc and run then so if that does happen you can just use your own sever to host clan matches but like i said its just a rumor but i hope its true!

but they will have to bring out private servers for the tournaments around the world because there is no lan built into bf3

If there are no private servers or clan match built into public (like elite for CoD) then there will be no ladder for BF3 on CG.

There are alot of positive things being said about private servers coming, MLG asked EA/DICE where are the private servers? They replied "Hold on for a special announcement on that".

exactly whats the point of taking out things from the game that really helped people understand the game more cos if there was private matches now i would for sure go to a jet map and practice flying them with my mates

Well before the game was released they said this game was going to be the most supported title ever, I fail to see how this could be so without private server and therefore losing any chance of gaining competitive backing from gamers which keeps games going and money flowing.

Private servers will come. It's just a matter of when.

We will have private servers just not sure of the capacity. i.e hope they are not something we have to pay for -

These events for both MLG and also Virgin Tournament could be based on purchased servers, so there has still been nothing announced to the public yet in terms of free private servers...fact is there are both rumours flying about, may be there will be both options though too?

Yeah we've got about 10 or so large teams - because the 4 v 4 and also 8v8 conquest registry is combined

48 teams - however some I have seen have bugger all in them, might have been some dodgies created as they just don't have anyone in them.

I expect this could be lack of server issue, so they move onto other games. I think some of the bullshit the lads I perma banned have been bringing in, bullying in forums, stirring shit with admins, new members and cheap comments may have made the place a bit uglier & unwelcoming around here too for some - but last few days since have been bliss

Be interesting to see how many people still have the game. Good to see you lads still posting. Can't believe what a killer to momentum the lack of private servers have been.

I suppose the good thing is for those still waiting, loyal to the BF3 cause if they are free private servers, if you consider that the DLC for BF3 is meant to be 3 times the DLC for BadCompany 2. Which was 7 free map packs!!!

That will give this title some longevity. For those who played BFBC2 the game had plenty of life in it throughout its course, especially towards the end where it was the #1 UK selling title for July or August 2011

We just gotta keep be patient....and what we've had so far is just warm up and we get a good 12 month + competitive life out of BF3
