What the hell is wrong with the Australian servers ?
They either seem to be really laggy or work fine for a while then randomly crash and won't restart for like half an hour.
Does this happen to anyone else ?
Especially frustrating cos there's hardly any dedicated Australian servers and like two hardcore which are always full so it pisses me off that when I finally get a good game it crashes.
I suppose it could be my internet but it never seems to happen on Asian or American servers, I run fine on them mostly, and it's the whole server that goes down.

There's usually 4-7 pages of Aussie servers (not including hardcore). What I have noticed in the last week is around 5pm they seem to all crash and we are left with 1 page.

Yeah that night and day shit makes sense.
Usually I have five bars but sometimes it's one; but I'm pretty sure that's just got to do with my internet.
Hasn't crashed since making this post so who knows

Generally if someone's downloading something on your internet it will show as 1 bar. Nothing to do with the server

Yeah I noticed this. Still only a few Hardcore though that are constantly full.

Donkey porn? nah just stream it.....trust me.... Nah in all seriousness when I was visiting my mum down in the country back in COD 4 days, when I spoke through my microphone I hit redbar...rofl!! Youre not on dodo internet are you? Capped?

From sounds of it and in consideration of this discussion. I only found issues with the server stability. When I was playing the game while it was running it was fine. Hit detection has been better but it played ok. Then at end of round itd bug out and we'd all get booted. Happened about 3 times last night.

This 1 bar you talk of was not part of the problem however.

Ive got my own issues, which for the most part do not bother me, I noticed them playing Black Ops last year at my place im paying for ADSL 2 = 24mb down but due to the copper wiring to the house being of poor quality/ old (apparently I mean how the hell would I know or ever know) I get interference on my line which means I am throttled down for stability to about 7mb. As far as they're concerned, its working...so...if I want anything done its at my expense and looking at wiring to house is not on their agenda.

Ahhh miss my old COD4 & WAW days connection - 400m from Exchange - even on ADSL one I had a better ping as I was on Telstra Lines hitting basic ADSL with a ping of 20ms. When we moved up to ADSL 2 they then used Optus network which was routed through Sydney or some crap. Went from 20ms ping to about 50ms ping and paying more for it - nice! I think im down to about 35ms now......still pretty poor really.
