So it's my 21st today.
So far I've got $1,300 and probably more to come.

Now I wanna buy a sub and amp (and whatever else I need) for my car.
My kind of music is:
Disturbed, Inflames, Asking alexandria, System of a Down, All that remains.. etc etc.
IE: Metalcore / Metal / Punk / Heavy Metal

What kind of stuff should I be looking at?
I can't get a new head unit because mine atm sorta suits the car and will take a massive chunk outta my dash so is that a problem? Is a new head unit necessary? Does it impact on sound quality much?

What kind of subs / amps should I look at? 2x10" ?
I don't wanna get 14" or anything stupid cause apparently for metal songs its horrible, cant feel the double kicks.

Any suggestions? What brand, what size?
Should i get two 10" subs or just one ?
Amps.. How many channels? Brand?

Great products I have the TS-D6902R - 6" x 9" 2-way Coaxial Speakers (360W) hooked up with a Pioneer amp that's currently not sold on the website.

Have a look around dude they have some of the best gear and if you have a local car audio shop near you, you can buy all of that stuff in store ( most of ).

just look on ebayy for a 1000 watt sub and about a 750 watt amp. thats all you really need. maybe a couple of speakers if you havnt got some allready

And I'd much rather avoid ebay for these kinds of things. Too clunky.

All I could imagine doing is finding a car audio specialist near you, and ask for quotes depending on your budget.

for that music xcel just get some cheap 10' sub's (2) and get awesome speakers and a decent amp to run the speakers....

OT - Have a look at a 12" Ported sub or a combo with the Sub and Amp in one ported box. If your boot is small,run a smaller sub as it usually fills the space quite well like mine does.If your boot is larger get a bigger sub or run duals.

I got a ****in massive boot.

Therefore go for two 12" Subs.
