what the **** is this?

i know its actually a windows resource, but i have an issue with it.

the gf used the computer doing god knows what, now all of a sudden this ping.exe is constantly running and causing my pings to be about 800+
i can end the process, but it starts up again a few mins later.

If i open resource moniter and hit network, ping.exe is constantly sending and receiving information...

The only way i can stop this is if i suspend the process of PING.exe which stops the lag for about 20-30 mins, then the process reboots and i have to repeat the suspension of it.

Also when ping.exe starts to run and lag the shit out of my computer and internet, iexplorer.exe opens about 20 times(just the process, not the program) including something like ex8mp_com which opens 4 times.

Closing ping.exe also closes these processes, so im guessing their linked.

So my thoughts is its either malware/spyware or some shady pissweak virus.

Ive run multiple virus scans and it detects nothing.
Running the computer in safe mode with networking also causes the issue, and its also caused an issue with system restore and corrupted all my restore points.

everytime it opens it connects to a remote ip of 93.184.216.119 and never changes.

Definitely sounds like a virus. What scanning software have you tried so far?

It's malware. Just do a fresh install.

this doesnt help. as with the other google shit ive looked at.

cannot infect me with botnets, i have protection against it seems i run my own.

and ive also ran these so called removal options, which didnt do squat.
ive even tried it manually.

most of them are aimed at the actuall PING.exe virus, which isnt the issue i have.

the ping virus is located as a file in your windows folder named ping.
the actual windows file is located in your system32 folder on every computer.

Unless you have CISCO engineer level training and paid protection software, you cannot fully protect yourself from a botnet. You wouldn't even begin to understand some of the shit people can do on the internet, it is likely you could be a zombie in a botnet, don't rule it out. I would just do a fresh install and be done with it.

there is no signs what so ever that im being used as a zombie, im not even connected to any ports whilst this ping.exe is open.

just to clear up any confusion, "the gf used the computer doing god knows what" actually means "we were streaming Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which rotax quite enjoys" when PING.exe ruined the lovely experience.

Bl champ.
