Hey, my current phone is crap and has a battery life of less than 48hrs while idling. And my brother recently got his phone really wet while walking home in heavy rain and it is now dead because of it. So our family is after a couple decent phones but ain't planning to spend much (but still happy to spend more than cheapest if the price can be justified).

Also while I'm at it (this isn't worrying me so much) we're both on telstra prepaid plans that ain't very good and was wondering what the best plans around at the moment are, preferably pre-paid.

And yes I know there have been threads like this before, but rather than bump them (as things change fast and what was the best choice then probably isn't now) I figured it just better to make a new thread.

Well my current phone is a Nokia 2680 slide phone, cost $120 at a phone dealer and to me its a great phone, the battery life is 3 days of heaps of use or a week very little use, mine is on optus pre-paid which i have been on optus ever since i have had a phone so i dont really know what other dealers are like but i happy with optus.

i got a nokia 6500 slide.. i bought it for 450$ but now availble on a 30$ plan or 150$ outright.. battery lasts over 3 days and is a great phone

deepnds on what you want your phone to do. and optus & voda are goood prepaid. virgin arent to bad either but, i still prefer optus over all them. turbocap ftw.
