So I turned on my PC this morning and it was running fine, I shut it down, went out, came back home and turned it back in and it wouldn't boot into windows, tried safe mode, it booted but mouse and keyboard wouldn't work, I than tried the repair option and it did **** all, I'm now trying to reformat and it's going pretty slow, it's usually only takes about 20 mins max, it's been going well over an hour.. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

was first thing i tried, was talking to a friend of mine and they told me to reset bios, seems to have fixed it for now.. haven't been in bios for a while.. so no clue how anything was changed in it..

could be hdd related.

download Parted Magic and put it on a usb or cd and boot from it.

run some tests to check hdd health etc.
