Hi...!
First off, many thanks to all the teams who participated in the recent 4v4 P2P competition. We not only had 16 teams, but we had 16
quality teams. I like to think that it was a success and it ran smoothly due to how well all teams and players conducted themselves during the competition. Naturally, this means we need to keep running more 4v4 events
Please take careful note that this is not an ODC. Why? Because all coming weekends are occupied with Christmas, New Years, ESGN, ACL Gold Coast, etc. As a result we will still run a Double Elimination only bracket, but with teams playing a match every 2-3 nights till the end of January. At the completion of this competition, we will return to ODCs.
Outside of Christmas Eve / Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve / Day, you will be required to play a 4v4 match every 2-3 days if you wish to participate in this competition. We highly recommend having more than 4 players on your roster as we will be instant forfeiting teams who are not getting a match played every 2-3 days. This may not be the competition for you, so please do not register if you can't compete regularly during the Dec / Jan period. The mentality of "you can't forfeit p2p / finals matches" will be stomped on and we will forfeit teams where required. All of the challenges will be admin created.
We will continue to thrash out regular 4v4 P2P competitions as we persist in making 4v4s more dominant in Auscod.
The purpose of this thread is to give all the information you need in regards to the 4v4 P2P Competition that will run from Dec 26th - Jan 31st.
Date and Time
The format for the 4v4 P2P will be a Double Elimination bracket starting Dec 26th and ending Jan 31st .
Please make sure that your team is able to play a match every 2-3 days outside the Public Holidays before registering.
Teams who are not playing matches every 2-3 days will forfeit. Just like previous 4v4 P2Ps, we will run to schedule!

Double Elimination Bracket
http://challonge.com/4v4xmas
Seedings are based on MW3 4v4 Ladder rankings.
If you are not on the ladder, you will be seeded
after ladder competing teams based on past 4v4 achievements.
Prizes
1st - $400
2nd - $200
3rd - $40
Registration fees are 100% given back to the community and determine the prize pool.
Rosters and Entry Fee
Each team is limited to a max of 8 players but they can all play on competition day. You can switch up and play any combination of your eligible roster without it affecting your flat registration fee of $40 per team.
All rosters will be locked at the same time as registration and payment cut-off which is Fri Dec 23rd 11:59pm.
Tournament Structure
There will be no pool play. This will be a straight out Double Elimination competition.
Seeding will be released on Dec 24th. Seedings will based off rankings on the MW3 4v4 CGo Ladder.
All matches will be a best of 5 series:
CTF, DOM, CTF, SND, CTF
We will be using the continuation rule if needed. This will create a best of 11 series:
CTF, DOM, CTF, SND, CTF, SND, DOM, SND, CTF, SND, CTF
It is important that all competitors have a thorough understanding of the continuation rule before competing.
If teams are scheduled to play each other for a 2nd time in Double Elimination, their match will expand to a best of 11 series, include the previous match, and pick up where that match left off. For example, if player A beat player B 3 Games to 0 in the Winners Bracket, the best of 11 will resume with gametype 4 and player A leading 3 games to 0.
It's a much dire situation if, let's say, Player A defeated Player B 3-0 and they met up again. In this situation, Player B would need to win six games while Player A needed only three.
If you are playing a team for the second time in the competition and need to play a best of 11 series, you must contact OzFalcon for your list of maps / gametypes.
If you are still confused over this rule, feel free to send me a PM or contact me over MSN and I will try explain how it works.
Game Rules
All rules are subject to change between now and the commencement of the competition in accordance to international ruleset changes.
Keep in mind that in trying to narrow ourselves with MLG and the world stage, a lot of what you would expect to be banned, isn't.
Spawns will be determined based on seed. The highest seed (going into the comp), will choose spawns for maps 1, 3 & 5.
A neutral host is preferred for all matches, but not essential. If a neutral host can not be found, both teams need to agree on hosting arrangements. This can be one team hosting the entire match or switching hosts between halves or gametypes.
Party chat is allowed for all gametypes.

MSN Group and Staff
Send a message to ozfalcon@hotmail.com and I will invite you to the P2P MSN group. We would like a captain from each team present in this group to make organising matches easier on game date. The MSN Group is only for competing teams.
This thread will be constantly updated on Nov 27th and we expect teams to organise themselves in getting matches started. We do not want to be chasing teams. The more you guys can do to help this comp almost self-run on the day, the smoother it will run. As players and teams, you all play a major part in the success and continuation of these P2P competitions. The community has been outstanding in making them work so thanks! Good luck to all teams competing!
Please feel free to post below if you have any questions, queries or comments!
We wish all teams competing the best of luck and hope you enjoy the competition,
