If you have BF3 and haven't purchased them, I highly recommend you do. The new Conquest game modes are wicked. There is normal Conquest, and then there is Conquest Assault - a really nice suprise and excellent inclusion. Dang....if you don't have BF3 and looking for a reason to get it then nows a good time.

Conquest Assault differs as it gives one side all the flags to defend/hold whilst the attacking side generally has more vehicles or more tickets, then its a battle to see who can control the most flags/drain tickets. Many of the games are tight contests, high action constantly flowing affairs. So not sure if anyone saw post I put up a few weeks ago about improving map design, making them more involving THEY MOST DEFINATELY HAVE and I jumped the gun somewhat. These maps are boss and as I said in that post if you control certain flags then you should get rewarded with a tank or choppa that spawns there if you do - well they've now done this and it makes for more interesting play and use of resources

The new Conquest Assault maps also have more flags HOWEVER they also change around and the variety is what makes this game really fresh. One game you'll have 4 flags, the next you'll 5. Then it'll be the same map but reverted back to normal Conquest (both side start out even) - so...the variety is killer and each map plays differently as a result.

Further to this they move the flags around so you'll have the locations in different spots (not sure how many different variables they have for each new map?)

Was funny how it came about, me and Freed were playing and we're like "hang on....this map wasn't like this last time we played" Flag A was over there!!! WHERE'S FLAG B??? hahaha - so thats when I first noticed. Not long after we were playing, same map when we realised that the game was the same but only had 4 flags this time.....was like....wow this is cool. I think the call was actually "WTF???!!""

As I say not sure how many variables but I've played Sharqi Peninsula last about 20 times maybe since DLC arrived, and just before I finished up my BF session yesterday for the first time I saw a new variation of map locations I had never seen - completely tripped me out as I thought id seen them all.

When you add this to the old maps they become more fun, shit the whole GAME becomes more fun

This is one of the best map packs I've had the pleasure of owning...

LOCATION: Load up BF3, go to STORE, called BF3 Multiplayer Update 2.07gb - if you don't have Limited Edition then cost is 1200ms - money well spent


EDIT: Oh there is also Rush, and new weapons & vehicles to use (the forklift demands respect hahaha) - who cares, DICE have put some love into Conquest....hooked all over again

It was me you were playing with when "B" went missing haha!! It was in the carpark a couple of games before and then when we went to play it again we both ran over there thinking to cap "B" but it was a no show.. haha WTF!! was deffs the call! haha

Variety is what keeps me interested and I have never played a game for thing long without getting bored, especially in public! There is only 1 thing to make this game better and we all know what that is but in the mean time I will be tearing up the new map pack and completing the assignments which are a bit of extra detail to the game to give it just that little bit more longevity. Also the assignments are actually making newer players better I rekon, as they now have to play their role better or play the objective more to achieve what they need. Smart move by DICE on that one.

I like Wake Island and Gulf of Oman on normal conquest. The rest I have mixed opinions, some parts I like and others I don't.

Personally I just want BF3 Private servers up

dissapoint in wake island only having 3 flags and how you dont spawn on the frieghters. Was so much funner on 1943

Yeah I remember it was me. At the time I never realised there was a small and large version of the map so it was very odd.

Its alright i love the one, wake island best map of them all

I thin new maps are fun and well set out, not filled with choke points like the previous maps and you can actually flank.

But the new patch is pretty crappy. You can detonate c4 after you die, the mines are now next to useless as they are so easy to light up, stingers have been nerfed, assignments are making everyone play like a douche. The famas is overpowered but I dont mind that as I will happily use it.

Seriously I understand a few changes were needed such as the torches but rather than happy medium they have gone for extremes.

Ive got a fair few C4 kills upon respawn already.. ahah sooooo good! The famas is pretty OP but then again all of the new weapons they brought in are OP IMO. LMG's have been turned to shit! Crap damage and I swear they have made them have a wider spray ranger even when ADS.. I use to rip up with my M60E4 but now its terrible.

Mines are pretty useless now, agreed. Althouth Salt may disagree with me there I swear those mines came out of no where!! hahaha

My ban ends tomorrow... YAY... but on the downside I'm gonna be a noob with these maps... Think I'll hang back for a day or so and just see what every one else does
