It's just people who think a $500 cable on there K702's make the sound more open & have more bass that think the ST is better.

Its exactly the same card just does not have the PCI-E to PCI Bridge on it as the ST/STX is native PCI....

You would also need a balanced AMP and DAC too, then there's the ~200 hours of burn in.
