Laptop > gaming?

Game probably stress's the computer.

Whenever I play certain games (GRID // Crysis // BF3) my computer get's rather hot.

Yeah, no much you can do though.

Get a new cooling pad? If you're game enough unscrew the laptop so you can thoroughly clean the inside.

Buy a fan and point it at the computer, or place your laptop on a block of ice and use it as a desk.

I had a Hp dv6 laptop and it would do the same thing.. there notorious for over-heating.

.Your only real option is to make a cooling pad yourself , since regular store bought ones often wont have the fans in the correct spot for your laptop (the fan intake) so its just blowing air around pointlessly

Only do it for a second if you think your computers going to crash mid-game etc.. I can't see it being too good for your laptop..

Why not as long as you dont get the fans spinning so fast that they burn out it should fine.

Get all dust out of heatsinks to allow airflow

Make sure there is clearence below the latop so that air can flow below it.
