Hmmmm, by the sounds of things you might have a corrupt file in the game files itself or in Windows. Have you tried re installing cod4?

If it's still doing it, then my only guess would be that a program related to SWTOR is using a lot of RAM (Random Access Memory), Do CTRL + ALT + DEL to enter Task Manager, From there check your processes so see if there are any high usage programs open.

EDIT, EDIT: Can any one help me with getting my Nvindia control panel to work? when i try open it, it comes up with this
"What is Data Execution Prevention?

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) code from system memory locations reserved for Windows and other authorized programs. These types of attacks can harm your programs and files.

DEP can help protect your computer by monitoring your programs to make sure that they use system memory safely. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you.

Can anyone help with me this while this thread is alive?

OK, After looking at the list of processing, nothing out of the ordanary is running. SO this means that it might be a service. Don't worry, we are accually making progress. Go Start > Run or Search > msconfig

Screenshot the list of all the processing including Microsoft.

If that all fine, this the only thing I can think of would be that the game needs a driver and your card is having a hard time doing so. If that is the case you will probably need a new system (Install Win7). But lets hope if don't come to that.

To be honest, your system is very old. You system is DirectX 9 which is designed for Windows XP, buy forcing it to run though DIrectX 10 (Vista) is it not a good idea. You should really consider buying a new system as parts now a days are pretty cheap (except hard-drives). All I can suggest is if worst comes to worst, either reformat and install Windows XP or better just buy a new rig.

theres no point rolling the drivers back. Just download the latest drivers from the nvidia website and reinstall them.

If all else fails, try Driver Sweeper. Remember to restart in Safe Mode before you try removing the drivers.
