Hi i was looking into buying turtle beach x31 headset but i got a few questions before i do and i hope that someone on CG could help me answer them before i buy them.
First off i found a pair that are $136 AU is that worth it?
Second are x31 headsets worth it im only looking to spend around $150 AU dollars
and i have recently discovered that www.amazon.com cannot send items to my street address or my dads work (where i get alot of items from ebay sent to due to i might not be home to sign for them)
so therefore i am forced to buy them from www.ebay.com unless anyone else knows a good trustworthy sight but im a bit edgy buying them from eBay because one of my clan members just bought x1's off eBay and they broke within the first 3 hours of use so if anyone could give me any information on x31 headsets it would be greatly appreciated.

whilst where at it, some one explain to me diffrence between x3's and x31's and x4 and andx41's

3 x 10 + 1 = 31
4 x 10 + 1 = 41

they are newer thats all i can say

they just look different was gonna get x41s but i just got x4s

Dunno about x3s and x31s but both of those are stereo surround sound while the x41s are dolby digital surround sound.

x4's and x41's are diff in the wireless, they have a different wave that sends the sound that doesn't interfear with plasma's and it USB powerd amp rather than from the mains (good cos you dont need a US to AU power converter

No idea about x3's and x31's sorry... I used Amazon and it came straight to my door so i just went and picked up from the airport so i didn't have to wait a day for the courier.

i think your friends unfortunate buy from ebay shouldn't worry you out of buying from ebay. i have bought plenty of electronics from ebay that have been fine but i guess if you dont want to risk buying a dud item, then maybe ask a mate if you can buy from amazon and have it sent to their house

I have thought about all the options.

X41's a little too expensive
X1's might as well buy the X31's for a bit extra
X4's Ugly headset tbh, Dodgy wireless
AX Pros ( too expensive )
X3's ( Dodgy wireless )
Then I was going to buy a cheap $30 headset from dick smith and wrap a headset around my neck...

But I have decided to go with the X31's. Pretty sure they have fixed all the faults from the X3's. And I feel they are the perfect price for me.

honestly i've got X1's and they do the job perfectly.

other more expensive versions are just spruced up and made to sound better (ie. wireless, 7.1 surround sound, etc.) when, imo, there's not a huge difference. Can still hear my surroundings just as good with my X1's than skayze can with his X41's

and yeah what kranxx said about ebay we bought them on the same day together and got the headset within 5 or 6 working days.

x31 are stereo go the distance and get x41s there surround sound and the diff between x4s and x41s are that x4s are infared signal which means you cant walk around as soon as that line of sight is broken you cant hear where x41s are radio and you can walk around x41s are all round the better headset
