If someone sends me a cfg how do I use it? What file does it go in etc? New to sof2. Crapple dragged me here

humph.. That's where I put it. Can I rename it to anything? And I just do /exec name.cfg right? Do I need to move or delete the default cfg? and does base/mp mean either one, or one in both ? lol

Not delete ya default config if you are execing a config.

You go to your base folder, then your mp folder and paste the config there lol.

is the mod used for the server
drag the osp folder into the root directory of your sof2

Mpconfig
is your game config
sof2mp.cfg which is locaed in your /base/mp folder and /osp folder
Some simple tips to change are
com_hunkmegs default is 45 change it to 512
com_maxfps default is 85 change it to 125 or 333 if ya pc is good enough
cl_maxpackets default is 30 change it to 100
snaps is 20 change to 40
rate is 25000 change to 12000
these are some basic settings fk around with these to get the best out of ya machine and server


Extra tweaks
While in game, pull down the console (by pressing the ~ key, usually to the left of the number 1 key) and type \cg_drawFPS 1
Note, it is case sensitive; also note that there is a space between cg_drawFPS and the number 1.
To turn off the FPS, just go back to the console and type \cg_drawFPS 0

You can easily customise what keys 'hide' or 'restore' SOFII
TIP - Place minimizer v1.45 in your windows START-UP folder so that it is always running. This way you do not have to remember to run it before going on SOF2 and it is ALWAYS available.

On the right hand side of the main xfire window click on "servers"
right click in the main menu and click on "Add custom IP to favourites"
