ok so i just restarted my computer and as i was doing it this came up

Correcting error in index file $130 for file 462963 with lots more
and then it scrolled down for about 3 mins saying recovering orphaned file (with lots of jumbled letters and ##) into directory

then a whole other bunch of crap that don't mean nothing to me..

i share this computer with my family and i am rarely on it other than joining pugs and checking email etc but wtf does that mean? Thanks

just lock thread if nobody can answer

No need for two threads in 7 mins.

Anyway, I doubt anyone hear will be able to fix it for you, especially with the info you gave.

My advice is, try and get the full error code, and take it to a website devoted to fixing this type of things. Somewhere like techsupportforum.com should do the job

Sounds like checkdisk to me. Did it give you any actual errors?

Please don't tell me you forced your machine to shut down while it was doing this.
