don't buy a premade computer, build it yourself...
go to umart.com.au
or use staticice.com.au it lists any computer part and its prcies at almost every online store in aus.
a good price guide is also pccasegear they are always well priced and reliable.

from umart:
AMD Phenom II X4 840 QuadCore 3.2GHz L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W $125
MSI 740GM-P25 UATX 740G AM3 DDR3 $56
CoolerMaster Centurion 5 II Black Tower Case W 500W PSU $99
Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 $55
Sapphire HD6770 1G GDRR5 PCIE HDMI $108
Any HDD u want, they are expensive now though due too floods in Thailand...

He's from NZ so pricing for staticice.com.au will be of no benefit to him as shipping costs will differ from each store (some may not even ship to NZ).

@OP, what's your budget? You do not want to buy a pre-built machine as the components will be generic parts with no real quality.
