Black margin around my screen

I have just recently bought a new 24" monitor and i have gotten a prob;em with the display it has a black margin around it . I have googled and tried looking for a fix but none of them worked i am running crossfire 6870's, if anyone has a solution could you link or explain please.

Thats how i get the black margin if i turn it down to 1780 its fine but once it hits 1920 it gets a margin

Are you using a HDMI cable? If you are you need to change a setting in your graphics control panel. It's generally called "scaling" or "overscan" or something along those lines. You should be able to play around with that to make it work properly.

Yeah i am using a hdmi and i tried that on another tutorial still didnt work, i might just try using a hdmi to dvi connection would that change anything you reckon?

Well I had the same problem with mine and I'm using DVI on the GFX card to HDMI on my monitor. My issue was fixed by using the overscan feature though. I don't think that using a converter would make any difference

Maybe its the refresh rate of the screen? Is it 120Hz?
