So, just randomly i was looking through the CGi & CGo ladders and i started to realize whilst looking at the CGo ladder, that there are still a fair few amount of teams competing. I would have to put down alot of the continuation of CoD2 down to cybergamer and i feel as if atm, although there probably isnt as many top teams as their used to be (although there is still around 4-5 imo), the teams ranked between say 5-20/30 are all seeming to still be going strong.

how does everyone else feel about this? is cod4 going to completely shut down cod2? also, how many people would stay around for another CGi/CGo season after this one?

yeah i agree saccy. I reckon there is at least 1 more season of competitive Cg-i, Cg-o, Cg-CTF (definately a must for nxt season) and possibly have some fun with a Cg-Vanilla League. Hopefully with 4 highly competitive comps CG can gain a couple more sponsors so interest stays high for the whole season. I can imagine a lot of new teams signing up for CTF and i'm sure some sNd players will give it a crack as well. Nxt season maybe a few more admins and personel behind the scenes to keep it running smoothly and it should be a red hot league/site/cod2. I'm not sure when Cod4 comes out and with it being 'modern' hard for me 2 say wether ppl will move over too it.

You could get another season out. But as its been said, CoD2 is already dying out. There is less top teams, good teams and players have left and moved on.

community is soo small

Community is small and the clans are becoming few, but amidst all those who say nay, those of us still playing are enjoying the game and having fun playing it - even if many people do think its not competetive

I have fun playing Call of Duty 2.

i hate the game personally.

but playing CGo is fun. thats the only thing keeping me interested in the game.

This game has the worst community in terms of raging at people and abuse, this seems to be a all to common reason why people continue to leave the game and move on.
