Sloth Gaming, created days before the Immunity cup began in an effort to build a team from ground up with big goals and never settling for less. 1 week after forming, already securing our position inside the top 10 in Aus.
Realistically, we have enough members that could field a team in any 8v8 format if we arranged matches on nights where everyone is on, and comfortably place in the top 8 Cyber Gamer. However that puts a massive workload on myself. If you've ever captained a team, even in a smaller format game at a lower competitive level, you'll quickly see the hurdles that need to get jumped.
This leaves Sloth Gaming in a position where we're going to do one of 2 things. Each with some ups and downs.
1 – Continue recruiting and cycling through members. Pushing through a seemingly endless cycle of team hoping and roster changing as all the top teams face, especially amongst the top 10 teams.
2 – We find another home. Intentionally not calling this a merge for various reasons, as I will outline below. This thread will mainly be about this option, and will be a list of pre-requisities that will be met with little to no compromise to go ahead.
Perhaps no team will be able to offer what we would demand. In which case, recruiting it is. However if we could join a team that would be ideal, as to skip the BS phase of endless roster changes.

Members;
Sloth Gaming ranging from 6 core members to perhaps another 10 with various levels of commitment, favoring different rulesets and game modes. The amount of members we can offer depends a lot on who we'd be joining.
Our core 6 simply wont be split, we all intend to stay together. The other 10 include a very skilled squad rush team who would be happy to play in CQ team if we needed, but I'll be helping them out one way or another anyway in their goals for Squad Rush, even if you can't support them as well.
Leading into the next segment..
Power and Slots:
This is not a merge, think of it as recruiting us. We'll take your name, site, servers etc unless otherwise decided.
We don't expect nor want to get put straight onto a core team and take over. That's a merge and proves to always make some people angry. We're confident we can prove ourselves to get onto the core team.
For power, even myself will be happy to to just be a member. Making no difference to the leadership already established in your team.
Same roughly applies for Slots. Where we don't expect say half existing team and half Sloth Gaming member be played in scrims. That's a merge and will result in poor teamplay.
However this depends a lot on...
Goals and Attitude:
The Goals of the leadership must be big. International comps are viable for Gaming these days. While still not perfect, it's viable. We simply won't even consider joining a team of which the leadership is going to settle for being top 8 in Cyber Gamer. We could do that right now without you!
Put simply, top 3 in Cyber Gamer is a minimum goal, with full support and every intention to play to win all prize comps.
The attitude for the majority of players must also be one of diligence. Without name dropping, I have experienced a team with possibly the best team leader I know. Amazing bloke, put a lot of work in himself. And sure, so did one or 2 others.
With the workload being all on Leaders, something slips. Be it comms, strats, recruitment, players getting poached from you etc etc list goes on.
The goal is to play to win. All members share the same goal. If you're not the top 8 in the team you don't play in the scrims. While I'm not suggesting we would take over a team that we joined, we would like to think that if the Sloth Gaming members proved without a doubt to be the best players in the team, that we would all get played. Likewise, perhaps none of us to get played.
In the same manner, we would hope that in the long run. If we prove to have strong leadership capabilities, that we can offer those skills help further the team and would hope that, if it ever came to it for whatever reason that an existing captain wasn't performing, that changes will be made.
Regime:
We will want to and expect large participation in complex training and practice. Include stratting, praccing and scrimming.
Expecting minimum 4/7 nights a week with organised events and the remaining 3 days to likely have 10 people on VoiP anyway and do something a little more usefull than metro 24/7 :<
To maintain such regime, we understand that we will likely have to join an already large team, to ensure enough people are online at all times.
Sum up:
We're looking to join another team. We will initially take a back seat and just be members, even subbing if needed. But with a common goal to win, we at Sloth Gaming are confident you'll be putting us all in your core line-up.
My little promise:
Not trying to big mouth, but no-one seems to notice anyone in this community unless you're a massive ePeen whore. So here it is;
"If a core 6-8 can match the skills of the 6-8 I have (UNLIKELY). We will easily (EZ MODE) have a team stronger than Immunity(COMPLETE DOMX TBH). Having an amazingly committed team to strat(BEST IN AUS FOR SURE) and research while having beastly(UNDERSTATEMENT) fraggers."
Maybe a little too far. rofl.
Just putting it out there, it doesn't take a genius to see how Carnage got so good. A lot of members without splitting the talent into 2 teams means you have the best core team out. Making it competitive to stay in the core team meaning only the best play. And even those who aren't playing are still helping in strats etc.
Final Sum up:
I'm already talking with some teams. But we're not settling for anything less than dedicated.
If we fail to find a team to meet all of above. We will get a more serious name and image, something not thrown together 2 days before an invitational cup. Then we will push hard and recruit hard, getting to where we want to be one way or another.
Cheers,
Sloth Gaming - Felpo and the Team.
