Yo, I used to have a Steelseries 7G but it was thrown out after a 5 (or so) keys started 'wigging' out, and oddly enough, not the ones I was using most commonly for FPS games. When I retracted from gaming for a while I threw it out because of the temperamental keys...
Now im using a sweet $9 logitech keyboard from DIYPC in Sydney.
Going to get a new mechanical keyboard now.

Things im looking for-
- Red cherry switches
- Preferrably plate mounted switches
- Preferrably tenkeyless
- Keyboard with a good structure, and a solid building.
- A board with no little 'feet' on the back to raise the back of the board (these have a tendency of breaking)
- Board brand which has customizable options such as:
- Broad range of key colours (Blank Black, Blank White, Colour Blanks, and Colour Letters.)
- Sturdy board with a plate mount switch design so switches are interchangable (and possibly universal?)
- Different range of Skins if available.
- WARRANTY OF SOME SORT

Things I dont mind-
- How much it costs, I am just looking for a really nice board.
- Availability, I will recieve shipping from anywhere if it is available.
- Age of the board itself, (Condition must be new) can be an older model etc.

If possible could you post the rough price range of the board and if you know where it is available, online or in Sydney, NSW.

Thanks guys.

if u can find a filco tenkeyless with cherry reds then ur all set, not sure where they are sold though (certainly not australia) other wise take a look at this one: $109.
pretty sure every board has little feet at the back these days, but mostly u can just fold them away if u dont want them...

My friend has one of those, the stand on the back has cracked off, so now he has to put a book under it to keep it up, otherwise it's uncomftorable

Hey Ketam1ne, are you going to SGL? (www.sgl.org.au 28th January)

If so, Savage from the x5.CoD4 team will be bringing his CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid with Cherry Red switches.

If you want, ask one of us in the Exile5 shirts and we'll be glad to let you have a feel of the keyboard and see if you like it

The Quick Fire Rapid is actually a rebranded Filco Majestouch Tenkeyless, except cheaper! http://www.cmstorm.com/en/products/keyboards/quickfirerapidred/

not the cherry red tenkeyless version though.
as for breaking all your keyboards, u could just be a little more careful and keep your board for years...

Who uses the stands?

He must have been very rough to break it.

The stands just put your wrist at a weird angle anyway.
