So I used to use 500hz with my intellimouse. Then, I thought I would change my mouse to a USB 3.0 port to see if there is any difference. There I saw my sample rate was back to 125hz- I thought it would stay at 500hz when changing port. So then I used this tutorial: http://www.ngohq.com/news/15043-how-to-increase-usb-sample-rate-in-windows-vista-7-a.html like i had done before to change sample rate. But then no matter what port I tried to make the change the mouse would stop working- wouldn't light up, wouldn't move on the screen. I uninstalled the driver for the mouse and reinstalled, which then allowed my mouse to work again, but now I am stuck on 125hz no matter what USB port I use and it will not change.

So are there any other ways to change sample rate that now might work? Or any ways to completely uninstall all that and try fresh? Thanks.

Yeah I've came to that conclusion but now that I attempted to unistall all of it and reinstall, it doesn't even apply to the original port when my mouse is in it.

if mouse freezes up on you after doing that, you're doing something wrong, took me a while to get it working myself, realized i was doing something wrong.

I did it a while ago and had no problems- worked first time. 99% I'm not doing anything different this time. It doesn't freeze up when I try to apply it anymore, it just doesn't work.

@state, have you made sure you're running test mode?

It would still be under test most from when I did it before since it always needs to be on test mode to use the driver anyway. I used the watermark remover to remove the watermark so I wasn't 100% sure it was on. But I did try that too. I disabled test mode then re-enable and still nothing.
