After several weeks of solid competition, 4Seasons Gaming's CTF Tournament is now in it's finals weeks. With the lower brackets Quarter Finals matches set in stone and x2 already having secured there place in the Grand Finals, it's now make or break time for all of the remaining teams. While the first few rounds were riddled with bye's and miss-communication, six teams have proven they have what it takes to vie for the title of Australia's first ever QuakeLive Capture the Flag champions. Before the competition was even under way there were several stand outs in teams like vngrd, /x/, x2 and Prudz who are all still in it to win it; but to the surprise of many even new comer under dogs like 2g and Etheral have managed to make it this far against stiff competition.
With Prudz already sitting firmly in the lower brackets Finals, this coming Sunday should show what the future holds for them as we see a clash of the old and a clash of the new with vngrd facing /x/ while 2g goes up against Etheral. Who ever wins these matches will face each other in the lower bracket Semi Finals and then further on has Prudz to look forward to. Will experience win out over the new players? Or does the young talent have a greater desire to win?

A battle of the old school Quake 3 teams. For the longest of time /x/'s players have been considered some of the best New Zealand has to offer and at the moment they may be the only team made up completely of NZ players, there road to the final has been a rather bumpy one: Having to face Prudz in there first game to a loss and then go through two bye rounds, last week they finally managed to get a match ending in a close 2-1 game against [!]. There lack of serious games may be there down fall as they face a strong vngrd who have played and won all there matches, there only downfall also being a loss to Prudz in round 3 of upper bracket play. When it comes down to it though both teams are capable of a win against almost any team in QuakeLive, bringing years of experience and a bit of luck to the table.
Players to watch: Roffo to bring some good team play to the table, grotesk with his QW experience. Pretty much every V* player.
Final score prediction: 2-1 vngrd

The newer of the four teams in the lower bracket Quarter Finals. Beyond all the trash talking and put downs, Cribs boys have come a long way since they first started out together and have shown that throughout this competition. With a rough start early on having to play vngrd in round 2, they showed they've come a long way last week by pulling out a surprise win against Robot House 2-0 while on the other side of the spectrum Etheral is set to come into this game with less match experience, having lucked there way this far with two upper bracket byes thanks to VeNoM and 420; there only match being against current top contenders x2 which they lost convincingly. Etheral will need a lot of practice this week and a lot of luck if they hope to be able to topple 2g.
Players to watch: Cribs strong defense play, lolcakes super offensive attacks.
Final score prediction: 2-0 2good
