hey guys, just a little article from www.aclpro.com.au. Reminder to anyone playing in the pro double elimination tonight that the games start at 8:30 Melbourne and Sydney time. Enjoy!

With a new year, comes a new version of FIFA. ACL kicks off it's FIFA 12 circuit with an online round featuring both pro and open players. This is a breakdown of some of the big names left in this competition, Ready to prove their worth in the pro double elimination bracket.

The Contenders

Muzza255
With successful national and international experience, Muzza is usually picked as a favourite in the ACL competitions by a few players. He was picked up by Frenetic Array last season he has not dropped a competition. Often being knocked into the losers bracket, Muzza has shown that he can pull off the extraordinary in many scenarios; does that necessarily mean that he continue his dominant form through this season though? Having missed the Community Shield due to attending WCG in Korea, Muzza will be looking to show that he can win any competition... No matter what version of FIFA he plays on.

iCripsy
Cripsy is one of the ACL veterans for FIFA and has shown that he can be quite a handful for players at times. Despite varied placings from competition to competition; he has placed in the top 5 multiple times and can never be underestimated as a pro player. Cripsy will definitely be one to watch out for in this competition and the rest of the season.

xx iTz Todd
Todd is also an ACL veteran having competed in every ACL FIFA event to date. Todd has achieved many top 6 finishes throughout last years' season. He will be an exciting player to watch and most certainly create some upsets not only during this competition but also the entire season.

iM skip1 intel
Skip entered the ACL circuit with competitive experience behind him. Skip placed 1st in FIWC's live qualifier in Sydney last year and placed 3rd in the world at the final. Skip has managed two successive second place finishes at the last two LAN events and will be looking to continue his strong start to this season with a solid placing, after finishing 4th in the Community Shield. With IM behind him, Skip will be one to watch during the 2012 circuit.

Lakey64
Lakey64 is another ACL player that knows the high and low ropes of FIFA competitions. Lakey has continuously managed to surprise his doubters by achieving good results in online rounds and LANs. With a top 3 online finish in the last season and a top 6 LAN placement, Lakey must always be on the top players radar as a potential threat. With multiple changes to the gameplay, will he be able to keep up his fine form as ACL changes from FIFA 11 to FIFA 12?

Humpty Dumpty
Humpty Dumpty has shown his ability to successfully manage to not fall off his wall during major competitions, but can he keep his balance this season? Humpty breached the top 3 barrier during ACL Sydney finished runner up in Online Round 3 but was beaten, both times, by quality opponents. Going into the new season, he has huge expectations and is not afraid to make sure that every other player understands this.

Ninja Brett
Brett has started this fresh season of FIFA 12 by announcing a sponsorship with Mindfreak. Brett has placed very well in a few online rounds and at LANs demonstrating that he is capable of playing well when he wants to. With little to no practice coming inro this online round, will he be able to prove that he is a sponsored player for a reason?

Lion Tamer 92
Tamer is another new player to ACL's circuit who has made a name for himself. He has recently shown that he is able to step up to the challenge when the gauntlet is thrown down by taking a top 6 finish in the Community Shield, followed up by some very convincing performances throughout both Open pool play, and the Open Bracket. Can he Tame the rest of the field and push for that top spot?

AirJJ x
Being JJ's first ACL competition, not much was thought of him. It turned out that AirJJ had enough skill to defeat Shadi and Lion Tamer along his way to the top seed of Open Double Elimination. With his impressive form during the Open bracket, will AirJJ be able to keep it up for pro double elimination or will he crack under the pressure?

IrishTanker
A pro player, not as well known as the likes of Muzza and Skip, but a pro player nonetheless, Irishtanker amassed plenty of points during the 2011 season. Never dropping outside the top 16, Tanker is one to watch, as a high finish is most likely on the cards, once again.
