this is probable a stupid question i bought BF3 today im level 7 and i want to know when i get a sniper that's 1 shot kill or what snipers are 1 shot kill. the only snipers i have atm are MK11, SVD and the SV98.

SV98 does if in the chest or head
the M40A5 also more consistently 1sk's but you still need to shoot them in the head or chest.

There will be a patch coming out where bolt actions will be a 1 hit kill within something like 15m. M98B is your best chance since it does the most damage but still won't give you a 1 hit kill against someone on full health unless a headshot.

1SK L2aim and get headshots other than that play hardcore

you know if the game is ment to be as real as possible im pretty getting shot in the chest with a bullet would kill you.

Well in the end it's a game so there's a level of realism but that's mixed with balance to keep things fair.

but snipers should be 1 shot kill

One shot kill snipers at close range would kill this game. It nearly killed BC2 with the amount of aggressive wookies running around and they had c4 to deal with armour.

You can still get plenty of one shot kills if you hit the head, if you hit the chest they go to about 13 percent health (wounded and supressed). Hardcore is already ruined because everyone is running around showing off their elite sniper skills.

Battlefield is all about the objective and yes some snipers can help out with that but the majority do not. If you want to run around sniping play team death match, thats what I do when I want to snipe but if your playing conquest or rush do not be that guy who sits back in your spawn trying to pick off people.

like I said it's about the balance. Anyone can hit someone but hitting them in the head makes it fair.

but its not easy to hit people if your a sniper cause 99% of the time the target is running from a distance away, so you have to aim where they r going and take in to consideration that there is also bullet drop over distance, so when i hit marker someone running cross map its kinda annoying.
