Played CS:S (mostly a DM rand) before joining the Army (joined 4 years ago) religiously on my step father's (decent) computer. Gave CS:S and other games up due to training/deployments and not actually having anything other than a Playstation and shitty laptop. I now have my own decent computer and also about a year to year and a half before I should be deployed again, so lot's of gaming time
Since returning, I've been PUGging a fair bit. Joined a couple of teams, but they both fell apart reasonably quick.
I have no problems being a sub in a decent team and working into core eventually. I'm looking for a team that will stick together and improve together. A team who are keen to prac around 3 nights a week, followed up with a couple scrims to put the dry runs into show. Joining another team that wonders why we get smashed in wars when not prac'ing is not an option
I'd say I'm around 60% awp and 40% rifler.
I do miss some shots but in saying that, we all do. Some are just plain stupid which we all get to laugh at, and others they just get lucky. I have bad days and good days like everyone.
I don't get caught up in the whole trolling/ego thing. Pretty childish...
I don't get angry if the team loses, or I get killed. It's all good fun.
I can play around 3-4 hours a night during the week and so long as I don't have anything on of a Friday/Saturday I can play all night if need be (errr). In saying this, I usually don't go out until around 10PM and so if a match is on I should be able to play. If I can't, I'll be sure to give plenty of notice. I live in QLD, which is an hour behind CG's time.
I have reasonable communication and know how to use TeamSpeak/Vent/Mumble (that goes for EAC too). I know most parts of the maps, except de_train (which is just lack of playing CS:S). I'm willing to learn if someone is willing to teach. I communicate everything from when and what I'm about to flash to where the enemy is and where he may be headed when I've died.
I'm pretty keen on the whole strat side of things. I don't mind sitting in a server finding new smokes and flashes, or perfecting old ones.
I can call, but due to being sort of newish to the game still, it's probably best if I take a back seat in this area and learn how to do it properly.
I don't bait. Actually, if I'm having an off day I don't mind giving my awp off and heading in first to ramps on de_nuke with only a deagle. Whatever gets the team the win. I'm a pretty firm believer in
team > self.
And most importantly, I've not cheated. Ever.
My previous teams aren't worth mentioning. We never went anywhere... And so with all that out of the way...
My preferred positions:
Dust2 - Anywhere A
Inferno - Carps
Nuke - Hut/Ramps
Tuscan - Short/Long
Season - Anywhere B
Train - Like I said, I'm not all too familiar with this map but A.
Cheers for ya time and sorry for the mass write up. All I ask is for a trial
