Hey guys,

With the new season on the verge of starting the CyberGamer CSS Administration team are proud to bring you a fully revised rule set. After much time and planning we have made alot of changes and come up with what we ideally will work best for the CyberGamer CSS League.

Please check out:

www.cybergamer.com.au/pc/css/league/rules/ or http://www.cybergamer.com.au/pc/css/ladder/rules/

Key Rules that have change

Please note these are the rules which have significantly been altered compared to the old rule set.

Section 4.2-4.4

Teams rosters and team changes have changed greatly. The reason for these changes is to prevent unfair roster changes and/or rosters from breaking hi-jacking rules for the benefit of keeping the competition as fair as possible.

Introduction of a point system

The point system is a new way in order to eliminate any sort of bias in the way the administration team views disputes or any sort. This was introduced to make it fairer for all and to make sure all ases are treated the same.

Example

Team A forfeits Round one of the season. According to the point system (see Punishment Table) this is 2 points. These 2 points are added to the teams total for the season.

Path A:

Team A continues to forfeit into round 2. Due to the the double forfeit, the points will be doubled. They accumulate another 4 points. This in turn gives them a total of 6 points (punishment) of which the team will be removed from the competition and possibly falling under the "dead teams" rule depending on the circumstances (banned until end of season).

Path B

Team A plays round 2, however, forfeits round 3, this accumulates them another 2 points. This in total gives them 4 points. They are still able to play out the rest of the season.

These rules are effective immediately

It is highly suggested that you read over all the rules as these are only some of the major changes, ignorance of the rules is not an acceptable excuse and you will not be excused for not knowing them.

Thanks,
CG CSS Adminstration

The roster change rules only applies to pro league or it applies to cgo as well?

edit: Regarding to the jumping on unreasonable tiny ledge such as the screenshot on nana in de_inferno, can you still do a two man boost on the logs?

edit#2: Regarding to the point system, does it apply to both team and individual players? Do teams/players have some sort of initial points to start with? do points deduction such as failure to upload PoV, Clipping, Boosting etc counted towards players? If a team got all their points deducted, there are some sort of rules to prevent such team to recreate a new team yeh? and points deducted on permanent timeframe such as smurfing or using unregistered player stays with the offended player or it also applies to team captains.

Regarding to the use of ineligible player, is it still acceptable if the other team agrees to it.

It states the rosters for CGo arent effected in the rules.

two man boosts are acceptable, just not the tiny ledge.

It will be recorded on your profile by an administrator, if you really want to know how many points you have it is possible to just ask an administrator with your profile readily available.

Please read the rules, the point system is explained in the table and how long points apply for. Points are accumulated, not deducted. To earn the punishment for each rule you need to collect 6 points in total. It is also stated under each rule whether this applies to team/player. Team captains will also be punished the same as the smurfing player. As it states in the rules its the team captains responsibility (if not captain is present, the player who is dealing with the game).

team agreements are still acceptable

confusion cleared, cheers, n my apology for not reading the rules properly, was mainly focusing on the point table itself rather than going through each offense, hard for me to apply my HC asian gaming blood into reading

Yeah the actual punishments could be added to the table as well. its something to think about further. However, this ruleset isnt tested so changes could be made in the future to remove any flaws there may be.

yeh confused cos of the things like

8.4 - Illegal Bomb Plants
Breaking this rule (six points accumulated) will result in a one week player match ban and one round deductions each offense.

n illegal bomb plants = 3 points accumulated

in this case, it means there will be one round deduction but the player will not receive the one week ban until the player accumulate another 3 points yeh?

^ pretty much, however on the point table itll be accumulated for the season, so if it happens again the player will get a one week match ban.
