AU PC BF3 Admin
This is an ongoing problem for the CG BF3 community and needs to be addressed.
While there are a couple of well meaning and (probably) decent people on the admin team, the levels of
activity and enthusiasm that is required of such a position appears to be extremely lacking from a large portion of it.

The current admin team for those unaware is:

* Redding
* Glock-
* Misnoob
* Arseynimz

With the head admin being Talnoy.

As most of you have noticed, the only real work and posts being done are by Redding and Glock-, both of whom already have a large amount of responsibilities running high level teams and running competitions concurrently to the CG ladders. Arseynimz and Misnoob appear to not even know they are BF3 admins, contributing a total value of nothing to the community so far.

Talnoy appears to have very little interest in the game, especially for a Head Admin. I would like him to rebute this fact but I think it is painfully clear to the majority of us that he is too busy with other (probably more important) work for CG and other ventures. I would honestly be surprised if he would even read this had I not titled it so.
As far as I know, the only reason the CG ladder has actually moved anywhere from being locked is because glock- went over Talnoy's head and spoke to Aster.

I think it's fair enough to ask for the positions that are currently occupied by apathetic and uncontributing parties be vacated and allowed to be filled with people enthuisastic and willing to do the unthanked and hard work that CG admins are known for. I am not attacking nor undermining any of the previous work done by Talnoy, Misnoob or arsey, just highlighting that their positions are currently needed and they are simply not there. I would be more than happy if all of them posted right after this and said they were working hard on the CG ladders, but that will not happen.

Having said that, I have no doubt this will probably anger or annoy some of the current team. I implore them to counter in a controlled fashion, rather than leaving a snarky comment and locking the thread. CG should not turn into a censored forum on topics relating to admins, that would extremely counter productive.

This is true, there should be 2 or 3 more useful admins that have input into the community.

people that are intelligent and can actually listen to the community, preferably not xbox or CoD admins, as they don't have enough time, any future admins should be dedicated to the BF scene.

In the end i have been waiting for the coding that would enable the website to setup servers for matches, without this they have to be manually setup for each match something which i garuantee you i dont have time to do every single night. Glock came to me and said can we unlock if teams use their own servers i said yep and handed over the logins for CG's servers so the active admins could setup some matches on CG ones where needed.

Am i active in BF3, no for the above stated reasons primarily as its too time consuming to have to setup every match manually. Waffles you could have always applied to become an admin mate

If you don't have the time talnoy then get more admins that do, that's literally the entire point waffles is making here.

I'm just making a point but if you guys plan to make a squad rush ladder (hope cg do!) will your time permit to run both conquest and squad rush because commitment at the moment is seeming very low thats all!

Talnoy has already taken steps to give over responsibilities of admin to redding and I, and Syrim from ex5 will soon receive it too and that will be 3 very active admins, and 1 more will probably round it off ( not currently sure on slantys activeness in general)

The SQR ladder was talked about between Redding and I and as such we will be admining that also. If anything tal is someone we go to when we require CG website help or something we cannot resolve ourselves.

A fair enough reason, but surely ladder Ref's and other admins are there for this reason. Having to do it manually is still not reliable or ideal though, so the using our own servers is a great idea that I wish the admin team had been more proactive in creating.

As I had thought, surely you could give somebody the power to be say, temporary head bf3 admin? The combination of your lack of time and the weight of your position appears to restrict headway a fair bit for the current team.

I did apply btw, about 2 weeks before the beta started, I can find the xfire logs if you want. You ignored me and deleted me.

A 4 person admin team of active Bf'ers sounds good

CG has never had teams use their own servers so the thought honestly didnt come to me, i just got over waiting for the coding that would setup the servers as it was taking a ridiculous amount of time to implement. It is my fault that nothing had happened to date as it flat out fell off my radar thats why i was happy to pass over to glock/redding when they stepped up with the idea of teams running their own games on clan servers.

As for deleting you off xfire, dont even remember but i havent opened xfire in a few weeks and if i did delete you it would have been because you said something abusive otherwise you would still be on there.

p.s. your now an admin, report to glock/redding to see where you can help.
