I'm looking too buy a laptop that is good for taking to uni and on holidays. I'd like it to be able to play games that would be a mid-range on processor demands, I have my desktop otherwise.

I'd like too put a preference on battery time. I probably wouldn't want too spend much over $1000 but could if really necessary. And I don't care about weight.

Any advice that could be given on brands/models would be greatly appreciated. I have all the accessories I'll need

for gaming i would go with alienware. I got an old alienware they are solid computers had no problem with it, i dont no how the new 1's hand. For abit of both maybe a Hp pavlion.

and never get a hp laptop for gaming, they overheat

only major problem with alienware is that they are heavy as hell
