Tt eSPORTS by Thermaltake
Theron Review
Before Christmas I was lucky enough to receive one of the Tt eSPORTS Theron samples, and since I have been testing it out, at work, and also in my home (gaming) environment. I planned on having this review done weeks ago, however my power supply died amongst other delays, but finally, here it is!
The mouse comes in a nice looking box, with Tt eSPORTS logos and what not branded on it. The front displays some information, including what genre it's aimed at, as well as some of the mouse features.
The mouse has been designed by "Softball", one of the Tt.APOLLOS StarCraft 2 players. And because of this, the back of the mouse is branded with his image, name and some information.
In true Thermaltake fashion, the mouse comes with a bag and user manual, all in a nice, well presented package. The one thing that always gets me with their products is presentation, in my opinion no other company does it better, the attention to detail in the package and product accessories is fantastic.

The mouse has 5 buttons (Aside from the standard 3) which can be programmed to what you like using the software provided. The bottom of the mouse has a following 2 buttons, one that changes profiles (Colours) and the other changing the polling rate.
Towards the back of the mouse on the underside is a little compartment that opens up and has weights that you are able to take in and out, to customise the weight to your own preference.
The mouse is aimed at the RTS genre, and whilst I don't play much of this genre, I had a crack at some StarCraft 2, and being able to bind features to different mouse buttons was extremely convenient.
After a good month and a half of using the mouse, I can confidently say that it feels great in your hand, and has been very well suited to the RTS genre. Since I have only really played FPS games it was a big change from the old deathadder, however I am getting used to it and am happy I don't have to use the old mouse for RTS games anymore.
I would recommend that RTS players have a go at this mouse as if you're anything like me you will love it and won't turn back. The only thing that turns me off about it is because im an FPS player it isn't suited to my genre; however I wouldn't let this stop me from purchasing it. I believe the Theron is due to hit Australian shores in the next month, so keep your eye out and pick one up when they come in, you won't regret it!
