That motherboard is overkill for an i5 system. Especially with 1 gfx card and no overclocking.
Ditch the Coolermaster PSU for Corsair ax 850(best brand in the business)
Hard drive, i wouldn't suggest getting a green hard drive. Not even for a storage drive. Get a 2tb hitachi, samsung , seagate, wd blue etc.
Make sure you get an after market cooler, i would recommend a H100. I love mine.
Also, don't forget your optical drive.

Everything else is alright but people will come with better builds soon. I cbf atm.

The reason i added the photos is so my friend whom im building this for can get a brief idea of what the parts look like. I changed the hdd for a 1tb seagate blue thanks for the tip, also the reason i put such a good mobo on this build is because when upgrading its always nice to know your mobo is compatible with your new parts. Cheers for the help

Edit: An optical has also been added.

Change motherboard to an P8Z68-V Gen3 (will allow for future CrossFire) or even a LX if you're not overclocking.
Get the non-K CPU
Green drives are fine for storage, keep it.

Check out these cases - Fractal Design Arc Mid Tower, Fractal Design Define R3, Silverstone TJ04B-E or the Corsair 400R/500R and 600T.

Other optional PSU's: FSP Aurum 750W or the Corsair HX-850 saving money from the one you listed.

coolermaster psu + wd green + phantom + 16gb ram + AM3 motherboard with an intel CPU = NOT FINE.

16gb of ram? if he doing some hardcore rendering etc? get 8gb of better quality ram or even 4gb for that matter if its only for gaming

8GB is standard these days, 4GB is stupid if you're buying a new build these days, It's so cheap why not skimp another $20 for 4GB more and know you'll have alot more room?

Would also love to hear your view of 'better quality ram'
