Hey guys,
This thread is to notify everyone of several changes that have been made to the Forum Rules. The current version of the rules can be found here:
www.cybergamer.com.au/forums/thread/36765/CyberGamer-Xbox-360-Forum-Rules-v.6/
Firstly,
all bans are now global. Furthermore, forum bans that are 1 month or longer will include a PUG ban, match ban, and a reduction in your post count.
(Offence # / Ban level): (Punishment)
- 1 day Global Forum ban
- 3 day Global Forum ban
- 1 week Global Forum ban
- 2 week Global Forum ban
- 1 Month Global Forum ban + Post count lowered (10%) + 2 week PUG ban + 2 week Match ban (All CG Ladders)
- 3 Month Forum ban + Post count lowered (20%) + 1 month PUG ban + 1 month Match ban (All CG Ladders)
- 6 Month Forum ban + Post count lowered (35%) + 3 month PUG ban + 3 month Match ban (All CG Ladders)
- 12 Month Forum ban + Post count lowered (50%)+ 6 Month PUG ban + 6 Month Match ban (All CG Ladders)
- Permanent Forum ban + Post count Reset to 0 + Permanent PUG ban + Permanent match ban (All CG Ladders)
This is still a guideline. Bans will be at a moderator's discretion, and will vary depending on the severity of the breach of the forum rules as well as ban history.
Secondly, as you probably have noticed, most of the CyberGamer General forum sections have been separated
(refer to Asterix's thread). As a result:
- All posts from both The Vault and Funny Videos section have been moved into the newly created Videos Section under the subsections Gaming Videos, Funny Videos and General respectively. If the video you use is 'Funny' or at least an attempt at being so, post it in the appropriate section. Gaming videos should be self-explanatory and General just includes any video you deem worthy of posting that isn't 'Funny' or 'Gaming' related.
- We also have an Xbox Health & Fitness section, which will be treated in the same manner as formal discussion. If you do not post appropriately in that section, expect a lengthy global ban.
- The other sections now included in the Xbox 360 Area are Automotive, Classifieds, Movies and TV, Music and Sports.
Other sections may be a bit jumbled at the moment, but we're looking at organising them all appropriately and making them as fool-proof/person-who-doesn't-read-instructions-and-posts-anyway proof. We've updated some of the section icons for now too. What we'll mostly be looking at is grouping similar forums and making the way of accessing each forum as easy and logical as possible without making the site messy as hell.
To add onto the above, posts in the Funny Videos section,
Off topic discussion and all Call of Duty results sections
will NOT add to your post count.
Lastly, threads and posts in the
Recruiting and
Scrims/Misc sections no longer appear on the home page, in the live feed on the left-hand side of the website.
Thanks,
falcano
