I recently found this problem a month a go or so and have just ignored it for some reason,
At first i found my Call of duty 4 had some sort of Sound Delay,
Example
Shoot..
0.5 -1second
sound..

And it's really ******* annoying seeing it has a delay in the demo sound, and recently i found im getting it on youtube aswell, so it must be a driver / update im missing but i cant seem to find anything,

The only thing i suggested to myself, is that my CPU is hot and my sound card isn't working 100%, but i also thought maybe my CPU is being slow and its making a sound delay, i have no idea.

My cpu sits around 40-59 degrees celsius. Vary of which game.

Ill post my device manager if that helps.

ALL HELP IS VERY APPRECIATED
Cheers

I am also certain it would not be a hardware issue, because the sound does eventually play.

CPU temp wouldn't affect it,

You mention that your CPU may be slow?

I would ask you to post specs but i am pretty confident that you have a somewhat recent CPU

I would reinstall drivers for soundcard.

Did you install your LAN card, etc yourself? if you didn't they guy probably installed it for you, including the sound card, anyhow, give realtek a go, let me know how it goes.
