Hey guys i just started streaming dota 2, im having a little trouble when i stream ingame it just shows a black screen on twitch tv

anyone have any idea how to fix?

It musn't be in windowed mode.
Xsplit (I assume youre using that) doesn't work with fullscreened games in the free version. Try going to video options and choosing windowed

Yeah xsplit does not like working with fullscreen mode.

You're also going to have a little trouble streaming at that speed. Call your ISP, see if you can get a business plan with Annex M enabled (this removes the artificial upload cap, most ISPs won't allow Annex M for residential plans IIRC).



Fair warning, streaming eats through monthly data limits if your plan charges for uploads.

Also if none of this is possible, try streaming in a 4:3 aspect ratio, may help somewhat on stream lag.

In my case I was capped at 0.8 up because of being on an Optus DSLAM rather than Internode. I called Internode and they had a free spot on their own hardware and switched me so now I get the full potential of my connection
