HI Folks,

After looking around on CyberGamer and other forum sites it seems the ATH-AD700's are the best out there. I am wanting to purchase them soon however one question that isn't answered (not that I have found) is how much sound actually can be heard outside of the headphones due to them being open ?

Any comments/feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

I've got them.

Quite a bit of sound can be heard outside the headset. Great headset though.

If there's a bedroom door between you and whoever you dont want hearing your music and games they can't really hear you. But if you're next to sleeping people or in a common area they'll hear everything that goes on.

Could be a problem as someone works behind me, but I will see how it goes I guess. Pretty much the only choice of headphone I have considering no closed/gaming headset is worth its grain of salt.

I have the ATH-A900X. It leaks nowhere near as much sound as my Sennheiser HD595's did (which are open headphones). As long as your in game sound isn't ridiculously high, the sound leak is quite minimal.
