So recently I downloaded Alterops (non-steam Black ops), and everytime I join a server my computer blue screened, so I tried a mates legit Black Ops on my computer and same error. Atikdmag.sys is obviously a display driver file. So I Googled for solutions and searched on here. I tried lowering clocks back to stock (I have crossfire 6950s) and no luck, I also set my video card bios back to stock and same thing. I managed to play when I disabled crossfire and that's the only way that has worked to far. I'm thinking possibly the new preview driver that has came out is possibly the problem. I also don't have any problems on other games.

TL;DR
-BSOD when playing Black Ops (atikdmag.sys)
- Crossfire 6950
-Tried lots of things
-Disabling crossfire works
-Possibly caused by new preview driver
-HELP please

I had the same problem. Read notes on most catalyst versions and found in release 11.9 or 10 it was noted that Blops would blue screen using Windows 7. Hasn't been fixed yet. Had an extra hd lying about and installed Win Vista 64, updated and installed Catalyst 12.1 and cap 2. Runs game perfectly.
