Basically 2 fellow team mates are going to **** for an aussie team who are playing in an international squad rush competition. I was considering entering, but then I read the rules:

http://puggaming.net/event-discussion/battlefield-3-tournament/

Quote from Rules:
- Standard code of conduct is expected during gameplay. This means you must use appropriate attitude and general sportsmanship during the event. No racism or "omg noob" chat etc to be used when playing.
- No 3rd-party software may be used during this even to gain advantage in the game other than a VO-IP service used to communicate with your team. This of course includes no hacking / aimbotting / wall hacks / etc etc.
- No glitching to arm mcoms or any other outside of maps / base tactics to gain an advantage over the other team. this includes the known MAV elevator glitch this will not be tolerated.
- Snipers are only allowed to use scopes more then 4x magnefication
- Sitting in one spot for more then 120 seconds (2 mins) is illegal ( this simply means you can not stand in one window or one 3-5 step square area this long we want to keep this fast pace and high action)
- Spawntrapping is illegal you must play the objective by defending etc

- No C4 on mcom stations ( meaning attacking team may not use it to blow up the mcoms) all other play with c4 may be used.
- You must leave your spawn to defend / attack the objective.
- MAV may not be used.

Read and weep. I honestly haven't read something that outrageous since my religious studies at high school. I thought Alienware was bad, GameArena rules deplorable, but this just takes the cake.

How an earth they are stupid enough to create such a ruleset, but smart enough to be able to monitor with pin point precision how long each player has been in any given location is utterly amazing.

Thank **** we have some intelligent gamers in Team Immunity and Cybergamer leading the way for competitive Battlefield with a (more) challenging ruleset.

And to think how much Battlefield players brag about how much superior they are to Cod players

DO they realise that you can't destroy objectives with C4 anymore?
